Not sure if this is the proper Forum to ask, but here goes...what prices are Marlin .45 ACP Camp Carbines going for? I see a large price spread and since I'm looking to buy, I don't know what a fair price would be...
depending on condition of course. it's amazing what they can bring nowadays. I know a fella in Greeneville, SC that's been looking for a good price on one for 3 years. 350$$ for one in good shape would be good price and better grab it. put a heavy recoil spring and Blackjack Buffer in it. and keep the stock screws tight.
My buddy started making weird grunting sounds when we saw one for 450 on Saturday, at the gun show. That was about 440 more than he had at the time. It sold to another table dealer, and an hour later sold again at 550.
A few tables away, there was one for 850, which has been around the shows for months.
The normal price here must be in the middle somewhere.
The Blackjack buffer is a good idea. The only problem is i called him twice to get a buffer for my 9mm camp carbine. I left the message on his machine as instructed. He never bothered to call back.
I would recommend looking somewhere else. This guy isn't very reliable.
