I have a problem child. A Marlin Model 57 .22 WMR. It will not eject loaded or empties at all. it extracts fine. I have changed just about everything action wise, except the shell lifter, as I cant find one. And when I do, I will try that. On the rare occasion it does clear it barley makes it out. Most of the time they just pop out of the extractors and lay there. I have seen these short stroke levers to work flawlessly but the one is my problem child for sure. And suggestions from you guys will be much appreciated.
Thanks

no, I tried it all ways. the best, which is barely. if I point the rifle up about 45 or more degrees it will let them clear out. But most of the time, just pop out of the extractor and lie on the next round in the chamber area.

So you have replaced the feedthroat assembly? Looks like it has the ejector as part of it. So...if the ejector is there and undamaged, then the shell must be falling out of the extractor/s before hitting it?

Or...from the looks of the parts on Numrich, the inboard extractor really doesn't have a hook on the end...more like it's supposed to hold the case against the outboard extractor which does have the hook and will pull out the case. When the case then contacts the ejector the inboard extractor (which has no hook) simply is pivoted in against the spring and the case ejects out by the outboard extractor. Could the rifle have two outboard extractors with hooks perhaps? That would hold the case firmly and despite contact with the ejector it would have a tough time levering it out against the grip of the inboard extractors. No experience with them...just looking at the schematic on Numrich.

Rob great report. I did in fact receive the rifle with both right extractors. I did change it over to specs from schematic. The cut in the bolt where the ejector fits into only lets it come up so high. Looks as though it could come up higher to kick shell out. But it is limited in this cut. I was going to peen it a bit taller. the only part i did not change is the lifter and not sure what roll it would play in the ejection anyway. Thanks for your help.

Could not find lifter for this rifle. Anyone have an old Marlin Model 57 .22 WMR. that is not working? Need some parts or buy it whole.
