Is the above rifle(.22) common with a bottom feeding magazine? Every single Model 60 I have ever seen had a tubular magazine, but I saw one today with a detachable mag. It was used and $125...don't know if that is a good price or not???

It definitely said Model 60 on the barrel, but it wasn't a Glenfield model. It was just Marlin. It also had a heavier barrel than my Glenfield.

It does look similar to the 795 but it had a wood stock.

if it is a marlin, then it is either a 795 or a 7000; the 7000 is no longer made.
for a stretch, if a new model, it could have been a 717m2, which looks like a heavy bbl 795 with a wood stock, but fires the mach2 round.

I'm definitely going back to look it over again. It's a heavier barrel like the 795, but has Model 60 on the barrel. I haven't been able to find one like it on the Internet, but I did find vertical mags that are supposed to me for the Model 60. I think it's priced too high, but I may get it anyway just to figure out what it is.

You can convert a 60 to use a box magazine? Please explain. I have a 60 and have been thinking of selling it because I dislike the tubular mag.
