A question on the November ballot is: "Should a constitutional convention be called upon for the purpose of changing the Maryland Constitution?"

I've seen little written about this topic but it seems like a good idea - and the timing is right. The next opportunity to amend our constitution will not come for another 20 years!
I can think of many topics such as - "Maryland Shall Issue".

Your thoughts?

Jolly - the recent court case (Bike guy vs. Undercover cop) already answered that one, so no need for an amendment. :)

But yeah, something affecting the insane CCW requirements would be great. I don't even think that going after full-on shall-issue wording would be necessary - even an improvement and clarification of the "good and substantial reason" nonsense would go a long way.

Be very careful about a Constitutional Convention - at any level!

The subject of a Constituutional Convention for the US Constitution comes up from time to time, and it absolutely terrifies me. There's too much opportunity for the convention to get out of control, and result in something that will eliminate most of the Bill of Rights and other changes that will (perhaps forever) change the way we live in the USA. :uhoh:
