I have been told how good Mastercast bullets are.The question I have is when I look them up on the internet I find two different companies. The one is Mastercast bullets in Illinois the other Mastercast bullet Company in Pa.I am curious about both which one is better or are the equal?
    Confused

Been using them (Mastercast of PA) since 1991 when I don't feel like casting my own, and I have always been happy with the product and price. Mike makes a good product, and I always feel like a welcomed guest when I visit his operation. Can't speak of shipping times since I buy them in person.

And both of them are owned by a "Mike." Both have good reputations.

Personally, I use the Illinois one, the "...dot-com one. Here. His bullets are accurate, consistent. reasonably priced, and his service is good.

I have also talked with and kibitzed with Mike in Carbondale, Ill. I bought some 45 200g RN from him which are superb.

    He is www.mastercastbullets.com

I've been casting my own boolits as of late, but I have some 44 and 45 caliber bullets from Mike at Mastercastbullets out of Carbondale, IL, that are among the finest I have EVER loaded and shot.

Here are but a few examples of what I've been able to do with Mike's bullts. I always shoot at 3" x 5" notecards, at a distance of 50' and always handheld--never use a rest. Mike's bullets hold very good groups and are very consistent. Any "flyers" you may see are purely mine--and I knew they were going to happen the split second I squeezed the trigger.

Great bullets, great prices and absolutely great guy to deal with!

Both companies have a good reputation. I like the Hard Cast bullets from Mastercast Bullets in Illinois best. The reloads from The Mastercast Bullet Company in PA are reported to be very good. The PA company also sells Rainier LeadSafe TMJ bullets.

    Mastercast

I have had email and phone message in for about three days now with no response. I wanted to try them but may have to go somewhere else as I need them now to get ready for deer season.
Anyone know if he is still in business?

Which Mastercast? If it is the IL Mike, then he's probably still in business--but, this same thing happened to me about eighteen months ago. It's probably a smart thing to go somewhere else.

I'm local to Mike in IL and he is a good friend of mine. He has some major health problems right now and is very slow moving around. Hang in there he will get back to you.

I can appreciate that problem, having major health issues of my own. He eventually did get back to me, and his bullets are good ones.
