I have a late war/post war BRNO 98k with a 'winter' trigger and magazine floorplate of stamped and welded steel. There are no lock screws.

There were supposedly late war model stamped trigger guards and floorplates done exactly the same way, but with a standard profile trigger guard, some say marked BYF (Mauser mfg) but I cannot find a one listed for sale and described as not needing a floorplate or lock screws. (Numrich doesn't have pics for all of theirs) I HAVE seen pics from James Julia and other auctions for such an arrangement.

I've been thinking of replacing my trigger guard with a more traditional looking one and the stamped example has less parts.

Has anyone seen such a thing? Are they particularly rare? Because I want one cheap, I don't care how it's marked.

Yes, they exist. You will find them with at least 2 other mfgr codes. While not at all common, I would not consider them "rare."
These were put on late 44 & 45 rifles.
