thanks to those who responded re collectable military rifles. someone named classic arms as a good source of k-98 Mausers. its web site takes pains to describe condition of offered Mausers. anyone had experience witrh this group?
can anyone say whether the S/27, S/42 or other models of the k-98 are more desireable to a collector?

I haven't bought a mauser from them, but I bought a K-31 from them and I was pleased.

I also bought a K31 and it arrived in the condition they described and the deal was trouble free. If I was in the market for K98 I would certainly look at what they have to offer.
