I've got a Swedish Mauser I'm going to start loading for. It's buried in the back of the safe right now and I'm too lazy to go dig it out. (at least I admit it!) ;) When I get to it to start reloading, I'll be able to measure the throat of the chamber and the magazine, but I was wondering if someone on the forum might just know, off the top of their head, what the longest COL that would fit in the magazine would be?

Oh...........and as an afterthought, where's a good place to get good stripper clips?

Thanks for any help.

3.150 in is the specified OAL Find an accurate powder/bullet load in that length, then start fiddling with the OAL, if you need to. I doubt you will need to.

BTW, is it a M96 or M38? The load data will give you a 'military rifle' load range and a 'modern gun' load range. You should mind those differences. Only use the higher data in a modern rifle due to the difference in steel quality.

Thanks. I know the SAMMI spec measurement. Just wondering what the longest COL would be for the magazine.

It's an M96. Aware of the differences...........thanks.
