Yes, I am sure this question has been asked a million times but trying to search for MBC and Marlin well it's a lot. So please be kind.:)

Anyway, I was going to get some of these to shoot at Deer Fart Loads using Unique.;) Has anyone done so and is leading of the barrel a problem??

The data I have for a 170 cast (with GC) is 7.0 to 10 gr Unique.

Anyone have a load using HP 38?? I ask as I have much more of these powders than true rifle powders.

Thanks

I use cast boolits in all my rifles, including several Marlins with microgoove barrels. The secret is using a boolit that is .001" to .003" larger than the measured barrel groove diameter. I size at .311" for 30/30. Gas checked boolits solve a lot of problems in microgroove barrels, but add about 3 or 4 cents to each round. Use a boolit that is large enough and you'll be very pleased.....use one that is too small and you'll have poor accuracy and leading.

I agree but the MBC bullets are about the only ones I can get before I die;)

As no bullets are available on any site I have dealt with. I would rather have some Plated FN but Berrys stopped taking orders,

I have some .313 diam, 115 gr 32 caliber bullets with GC but those I fear would be to fat.
