Yea, gun free zones suck. I'm a student at the University of Florida, go Gators, and I feel, well, naked when I'm walking around my campus. Most places that have a "gun free zone" sign I willingly choose to ignore (except on campus, after all I do need to graduate) and carry to protect myself. In public buildings (malls, banks (not federal), theaters etc.), the only consequence of being caught carrying in a "gun free zone", which no one should be "caught" carrying anyway, is being asked to leave the property. You only start facing legal trouble if at that time you refuse to leave. But hell if you were "caught" with a concealed weapon, I'm not sure if you should be carrying.
