Megan Stapleton getting a lot of positive support, appreciates our prayers and suppor

Let me preface this by saying that I do not want to re-open the discussion which went horribly awry recently.

I contacted Megan Stapleton through MySpace to just give some positive encouragement to her. I mentioned that I heard of the event through a pro-gun forum, but did not mention THR by name (nor is it mentioned on my myspace profile). I wanted to echo the sentiments that were expressed by many of us here, namely:

• We are glad she is safe
• We think that she did well
• We hope that she is okay and continues to be so

I presented these sentiments as my own personal feelings, and said that I was not alone and knew that many more of us felt the same way and wished her well, and were praying for her. I also expressed that I hope she has limited contact with those who would feel the opposite.

From her response to that message I learned these things:

• She is receiving a lot of positive support from both friends and many "strangers" like us.
• She is doing well (the "tone" of her message also reflected this)
• "There is nothing better to hear than [what I mentioned above]"
• She is very appreciative of all the well-wishes and prayers, and wanted me to extend her appreciation to those THR members that wished her well.
  • "Please just give everyone our appreciation for the prayers and comforting thoughts!"

So for those of you who wished her well, I offer this update.

Please do not turn this thread into the last one. Mods, if you feel the need to lock this right away, go ahead.
