I have a megastar 10mm with blue finish in the original case with one 14rnd mag, it is in near perfect condition and has only had 21 rounds run through it.

Im curious if anyone here might know its value, I have found alot of info on the net, it seems to be a very good gun. Built like a tank, but no where can I find the value.

Thanks in advance

According to the 2009 Blue Book of Gun Values it is worth $450. The one on Gunsamerica is way over priced and the seller is just another dreamer.

Check Gunbroker.com and see what they actually sold for. I see the .45 version quite often there but the 10mm is harder to find although it does pop up from time to time. I think the 10mm would be worth a little more since it is harder to find and is one of the few guns that can handle full power 10mm loads.

That one on Gunbroker didn't sell for $950 and I am not at all surprised --- at another gun related website -- I seen one last month that sold for $600 with extra mags and a holster --- I would think you could get around $550 for your Star from a 10mm collector.

I wouldn't call them "lowballers"; I'd call them "realistic". while the OP's pistol may have sold for $875, that doesn't mean that in the general market it is worth that much. It sounds to me like a case of "right place at the right time" for both the seller & the buyer.

From what the buyer told me these 10mm versions are perty hard to come by and even harder to find in the condition mine was in

Either you found someone who wanted it really bad or was really ignorant. Although, I would have to agree yours was worth more than the book value in its condition and the fact that a 10mm is harder to find. Megastars were only sold for 2 years and most were .45.

Quite a difference from the $350 I payed for my Megastar in .45. Mine looked barely used also and came with the original box and accessories.

mine had the original box aswell, and if you look on gunbroker or any other auction site you will see that they currently have zero 10mm versions for sale, the guy who bought it own's a local gunshop so I dont think he is ignorant, he told me that he had been looking for a 10mm version for close to two years. The reason he had been looking in the first place is because his freind owns one and says its the best 10mm handgun he has ever owned, and he own's quite a few including the 10mm Colt
