At first I had a problem “processing” the troubling imagery of Santa Clause carrying a M1911!
Why in the world would Santa “need” a “Horse” pistol?

Then, it dawned on me! What if a reindeer tripped and broke a leg trying to clear a chimney?
( or running over grand maw, I’ve been reminded!).

Well, I guess we’ll be having “Reindeer” for Christmas dinner!

Now what kind of carry rig would Santa wear ?
Maybe an M4 shoulder holster like a fighter pilot!?
Or a patent leather white Sam Brown? Hmmmm....

That’s beautiful. Are those still made new or pre-owned? Love the extra grips. I would assume vintage. I haven’t bought a pistol in years

When I worked at the LGS we had a guy that brought in a gorgeous pistol from the 50’s that had never been even lifted out of the presentation box. The owner had bought it and put it on a closet shelf. Sat there for over fifty years. When we pulled it out of the box, the bottom side against the velvet was very heavily pitted

Thank you and Merry Christmas, although, its a highly polished stainless done by the Colt Custom Shop in '85, one of the first thousand Colt made as their first Stainless 1911s... very happy, I didn't know it was on my Grail List till I saw it

    Soooo... heres the long story...
I have been purposely evading the local LGS's for a while now...every time I go there there's some lonely revolver that needs rescued...don't need anymore of these foster adolescents...and its been great, living life with a little cash in the pocket to spend on the cool things in my life...wife, dog, 2nd cousin and such.
During this time off from expensive hobby of buying " 2nd and 3rd hand guns" i found a new hobby... CFDA... I had the primers and guns, all I needed was some brass and wax bullets... cheap...cool... im happy. First match i made it into the Magnificent Seven:cool::eek::D
Of course then... I found SASS again... I had the pistols, primers, lead, shotgun, shells reloading stuff...."but no lever action pistol caliber rifle"... which lead me down this trail of no return...AGAIN... found a 92 lever action for sale on another board, perfect for a starter gun in SASS, he accepted my offer... So... I had to go to the local LGS to inform them of a rife coming my way, legalities and such, after that all of the above happened....
Now I'm gonna have to win all the SASS matches for the next 5 years to pay off my inability to say NO....

We just did, like every year. Smoked, with black pepper sourcream.

Somehow it needs a vegan alternative whenever some of my urban buddies from the UK visit us for Christmas. They don't react well to Rudolph being served for dinner.

I'm not an over-the-top fan of 1911s but DANG that is a beautiful pistol.
