I've been trying to find a site that would give me the manufacture date of a FN 1910 pistol. S/N 36184X. It has a lanyard ring and is chambered for .32ACP. It came with a brown flap holster that would hold 2 mags. The holster has the leters A.V. on the reverse side. Any help would be appreciated.

Maybe others can provide better info, but the closest I can come is the pistol shown in Vanderlinden's book, #358455, which he says dates to about 1931, and #393512 was sold to the Dutch Finance Ministry and marked by them with the date of 1936.

If the 1931 date is accurate, and if we can assume some 7000 pistols per year, then yours would have been made in 1931 or 1932.

HTH.

Jim
