The SAFR PAC has completed their endorsement process and voter guide
for the 2008 Primary, to be held August 5, 2008.

Each candidate for US Senate, US House, State Senate and State House
was surveyed and answers reviewed, and voting records and public
statements made were researched.

In an effort to continually improve our information, we have listed,
when known, prior elected offices held, and links to each candidate's
website so you can research their positions on both firearms issues,
as well as obtain other information on them.

SAFR PAC believes the key to improving firearms rights and having
favorable legislation passed is to be actively involved in the
political process. To that end, we encourage all gun owners to being
active in supporting pro-gun candidates, either through volunteer
work, or by donating to their campaigns.

A question asked of a Michigan politician and his answer

My question asked of Tom McMillin, candidate for House of Reps 45th District:

Today I received your flier in the mail, and I have one simple question: Representative Daniel J. Acciavatti has proposed House Bill 4759, which would eliminate safe zones for all concealed weapon license holders, and House Bill 4760, which would repeal all the criminal sentencing laws in conjunction with the elimination of safe zones. My question is this: how would you vote on these bills and why?

His response:

Mr. [cambeul41],

I support the right of law-abiding citizens to carry concealed weapons. So-called "gun free zones" often mean that the only ones who could possibly have weapons there are non-law-abiding citizens who intend to do harm, which obviously could be a serious problem. Based on my initial review of these bills, I would expect to support them as a State Representative.

Sincerely,

Tom McMillin
