I thought i posted on this a while ago...

    but in case i didn't...

    heh

(i did a rudimentary search... didn't seem to find anything .. but then again its late....)

I wanted to watch this film (fahrenheit 911) and since i was there i noticed of course - the opposite spin... fahrenhype911...

I'll say that watching the one is a whole new experience after watching the second....

Hey - i don't have kids, i understand people who have kids in the war, i understand people who don't approve of it and think its a waste of time etc... everyone is entitled to thier opinons... EVERYONE... its what SHOULD make this country great....

I just wonder when did we become so STUPID... that relatively simply hollywood tricks work on the masses. Not necessarily you and me reading/posting this post... but the people who thrust his movie into whatever bread winner it is/was and nominated/won him a award for it.

after watching the hype one... i wonder how anyone could even LOOK at the first one and think he was even CREDIBLE. Sad part is i kinda agreed w/ him on bowling for columbine - just didn't agree w/ his assumptions/evaluations at the end. I think that whole senario would have been different w/ a teacher who was armed CCW and allowed to carry there... (NOT mandatory carry for teachers... a CITIZEN who decided to go through what the law recognized as requirements for obtaining a CCW/CHL whatever... ) If i was gonna make a film - call it a documentary on politics of the time etc... i'd have to make it bulletproof... i wouldn't want ANYONE to be able to assault me on the "facts" of the documentary.... There were fare to many credible attacks on the veracity of his "documentary" to begin to think that i would appreciate MM's stance in his movie.

I'll not say HYPE addressed ALL the points -and i'll not say it didn't try to spin it... but i WILL say that its interesting how MANY things had larger meanings than what was presented in heit911....

If you know anything about Moore, you know that his 'thing' is to lie, twist, mislead and slander in his unique way that is specfically designed to dupe the witless.

He's a propagandist, a liar and a hateful candy-ass socialist. His movies are vitriolic anti-american frauds aimed at the lowest common denominator and their widespread acceptance makes the best case for preseving the electoral college I can think of.

I went to Dick Morris' web site to order F-hype 9/11. $15 and only a buck-forty for shipping via Overstock.com.

    http://www.fahrenhype911.com/

I hope to get it by this weekend.

I decided I needed a DVD player for the TV (I have one on my computer) after Fahrenhype 9/11 came out. I set the DVD player up, left Hype sitting on top of the TV and hid the rest of my DVD stash. Kerry-leaning roommate (who loves to sit around watching documentaries on OnDemand TV) came home, noticed the DVD and popped it in. Halfway through I asked what he thought.

"Uhhhh, I think I'm voting for Bush" was his only reply. Mission accomplished.

Hey like i said - Hype is slanted and biased too... i would have been disapointed if they ONLY took the track of actually just fact checking/reporting... heh

i just found the NUMBER of out right LIES (in heit) to be.... distasteful.

My favorite was the one "party" speach, where when the camera zooms out - gore is 3 seats away from him... course - the camera never zooms out in Heit....

"Fahrenhype 9/11" is selling in my local Sams Club for $10...as compared to Moore's Fahrenheit at about $20...

He was giving Moore the benefit of the doubt. The truth is much harsher. Being nice is not in itself a worthy goal in life.

The only way I would watch heit is with some lib friends if they promised to watch heit and hype with me one after the other.

    Never happen.

I just put it on my queue for Netflix, though there's a "very long wait."

When are they going to come out with a "Bowling for Columbine" counterpart?

    Any filmmakers out there?

    Anyone?

Just got my Hype DVD today. Popped it in the player and watched it with my wife. She is begging me to let her take it to her boss who was enraged over Heit. I have a coupe people who need to see it as well.

Very well done. Covers the issues. If you saw Heit, you will be shocked to watch the same people being interviewed on Hype saying that they were rather peeved that their interviews were sold to Moore and misused and otherwise taken waaaaay out of context. One family was interviewed and almost pleaded for people to not think that their KIA brother was not patriotic due to the lopsided coverage done by Moore.

Ya in Hype - the only one that i wasn't happy about (that i can recall in my current state) was the Mom who's son died and she read letters and stuff from him. on Hype - they interviewed the aunt or something like that...

they didn't go back to the mom or the mom wouldn't do the interviews... however it worked... so they put in this aunt.

I know an aunt is family - but i can tell you that my aunts might have WILDLY differing opines of me... they don't see me every day... not that my mom/dad do now - but they see me more than my aunt's uncles do.

oh well - i think everyone who ever says one (good) word about that .... person.. michael moore... should be required to watch hype and then tell me again w/ a straight face that there ain't nothin wrong w/ that "documentary" that is heit....
