Mika Pocket Holster for my Glock 26 Pics

I’ve used a Mika pocket holster for my S&W 642 since I began carrying it. The Mika holster works great, it’s held up well, and I am very satisfied with it (actually I have 3 Mika pocket holsters for my 642, and another for a Ruger SP101, but I've only used one of the 642 holsters since 2005). That said, I got the idea of having him make me a pocket holster for my Glock 26. I figured they are cheap enough, that if I don’t like it, or don’t want to use it, that I’m not out much. Well I received it today, and it exceeded my expectations. Easily the nicest holster I’ve received from him yet, and well worth the wait. I haven’t tried it out yet, but I’m looking forward to giving it a try this evening. My only concern is that it might be a little tall, but otherwise, it is about perfect. If it works as well as my 642 holster, I’ll be very happy.

Don't take this as a jab at the holster or the maker, but it kinda looks like a basic soft case for eye-glasses, just cut down a bit.

No offense taken. I agree, they certainly aren't pretty, but they work. They stay in position in the pocket, they allow a good grip on the butt of the gun when drawing, and the holsters stay put in the pocket when drawing the gun. You can also reholster the gun without removing the holster from the pocket. They don't print, they provide good protection from sweat, and they hold up. I have leather Galco pocket holsters that have cost 3x as much and don't work nearly as well.

I have to agree with the above statments. These holsters aren't anything to look at, but they function far better than anything else in a pocket holster I've tried.

There's good reason why so many peole rave about the Mika holsters. I waited a long time for mine, but it was worth it.

Hope you got big pockets... Mika's stuff is great. I can't imagine carrying a glock in a pocket though, unless it was like cargo pants with carpenter pockets or something. Let us know how it goes.

A G26 is almost exactly the same size as a 642, but fatter. It can be carried in a pocket, although it's not nearly as comfortable there, as the 642.

There is more than meets the eye. Mine (for a Kahr PM9) is built up/molded on the inside to the contours of the trigger guard. This provides additional stability in positioning the gun in the pocket.
