What are you doing with the rest of your stuff?
Going into the military is not a decision to be taken lighlty. It will have implications beyond anything you can probably imagine. My recruiter truthfully answered every question I asked him, I just had no idea when it came to the correct questions to ask (That being said, I enjoyed my time in the service and if it hadn't been for the collapse of the Soviet Union I probably would've been in longer). In the grander scheme of things "What to do with my guns?" is not really such a huge thing.
I would blast a lot of ammo, clean thoughroly, clean again and store in locked cabinets with the rest of my stuff. By the time you complete training and get your orders to your permenant duty station you will have different perspectives and know better what your options may be. If you clean your firearms well and store them properly they will last until you can make an informed decision on what to do with them.
