MILSPEC SPRING GUIDE AND PLUG QUESTION

I want to replace my FLGR with milspec guide and plug and would like to know if the same length guide is used in Commander as Gov't?

Nope...Commander guide and plug are shorter than they are in 5-inch guns.

You can shorten a Government Model recoil spring plug to Commander length and it will work fine. However you need to find a Commander length recoil spring guide.

I believe you can find the parts you want at:

www.brownells.com (they have new Colt parts).

www.e-gunparts.com. (these may be used or new depending on what you specify.)
