Yes it is. I also have an AR and like it but the Mini just fits me better. It has all the accuracy I need for its intended purpose.

But there is one thing I do not like about the Mini. With a 20 round Mag in the gun it digs in your back when carried by the sling. I wish there was a way to make it lay flat like a 30 Carbine.

I shot them in the late sixties, MOA was standard for me. But then I qualified expert. It seems after Vietnam they made due with old rifles. But I very willing to host a match and put money on it.

I actually find folks in the far ends of both camps amusing.

I find folks who think of these issues as "camps" or define their identity through a choice of a rifle amusing. It often leads to lack of objectivity and missing the big picture completely.

I guess all these years of AR's winning at 3 gun, Camp Perry, and any kind of tactical rifle competition out there every one is wrong. They should have been shooting Mini's. LOL. What nonsense and BS.

That is funny. You are the one making up BS about Mini accuracy. Maybe you just get junk in Finland. AR's have always been accurate unless it is some off brand knock off. In the 60's I qualified expert with a rack grade AR and issue sights and issue ammo twice. Competition proves it. Ever see an F-Class mini, me neither. Top 3 gun guy with a Mini, nope. The Mini handles nice and I like the looks, but is it equivalent to the AR in accuracy, said no competition shooter ever. LOL. Like I said, My stock AR, your stock Mini, lets shoot and settle it.
Now I have seen guys shoot both about the same. It is always the shooter or very poor set up. Nothing against the Mini, I like them but get real.

In this day and age, with ARs in the $500-600 bracket, there no real reason to own a Mini-14.

Rarely if ever has the history of debate seen so many formal syllogistic and informal argumentation fallacies in a pair of brief posts. Likes given as a form of a participation trophy. This can only go less High Road if the next suggestion for a challenge is to visit a bathroom with a tape measure. So the conversation is over.
