Minimum Comfortable Firearm Battery?

the guns I own that I consider my SHTF guns:
AK47
PTR-91
Mossberg 590
ruger 10/22
Winchester 670 in .30-06
glock 17

I've got an AR, garand, and a bunch of other less "ninja-esque" kind of firearms, but the ones listed pretty well cover my "needs"

I do plan on getting a decent bolt action with a scope in .300WM/RUM/Weatherby eventually so I'll have something with long range capabilities, but realistically, unless I get a 4 gage shotgun, I can't hit nothing past 10 feet anyway, so it's more of a want than a need

I don't think I'll add too much to the list, but here are mine:

Marlin .22 rifle
Beretta 9mm (yep, a 9)
A 12 gauge of some sort
My Sig 556 in .223 or my SOCOM 16 in .308

Thanks,

It seems to be a very common idea among us that a pistol, a rifle, a shotgun and a .22 are the BARE MINIMUM that anyone should have. This assortment really does cover all bases, at a minimum cost. IMO, it is the basic assortment that should be issued to each American citizen at birth!

Pistol- .38, 9mm or better
Rifle- .223 or better
Shotgun- 12ga

I could live with my Glock 17, my AR-15 and my Benelli M-1 Tactical if I had to. That would cover self defense, competition and general unpleasantness.

I just like the fact that I can have more.

One each of the following:

.22LR Rifle
.22LR Pistol
.223 Carbine
12 Ga. Shotgun
Full Size High Capacity Defensive Caliber Pistol
Compact Defensive Caliber Pistol
Magnum Caliber Revolver

Minimum?

Revolvers
.22LR - S&W 317 3"
.38/.357Mag - S&W 686+ 4"
.44Mag - S&W 629 5"
Semi-Auto Pistols
.22LR - Ruger MKIII Hunter
9mm - Glock 19 or 17
.45 - Kimber Raptor II
Rifles
.22LR - Ruger 10/22
.223 - AR-15
.308 - M1A
.30-06 - Remington 700
Shotgun
12 Gauge - Remington 870

Minimum? What I already have. The collection is only going to get bigger.

Darn tooting. Exactly what I was thinking: All of them... all that's missing in my collection would be the ones I haven't bought yet, to be acquired in the order that makes me happy...

It's all good.

I tend to agree with you Les, however the wife told me to pick one out since I got her a ring for valentines day. Almost 2 weeks later and I still can't decide what to get. It isn't that I don't want anymore it just that I haven't yet found one that I don't already have.
