No, I don't think so.

They don't try to push their wares. They do gauge interest, post about new products, and share stories running a reloading-related business, which I think is absolutely OK.

They also participate in discussions about shooting, reloading, bullets, pressure, leading, lubes and whatever else, without asking people to buy their products specifically.

I've never seen anyone from MBC post that their product is better, and if someone just switched to their goods, they wouldn't have whatever particular problem that they are having.

MBC, so far, and IMHO, is doing everything right.

They probably should have a thread in the Buy, Sell and Trade: Reloading Components and Gear forum advertising their stuff though.

They aren't. The product is so awesome that people bring the topic up on at least a once a week basis. It's how I found out about missouribullet! I ordered 1000 .357 bullets from them and wish I had ordered more. My next order will probably on the magnitude of 3000 9mm 115gr bullets. Their support of Soldiers and the American way of life is some of the best I have seen from a company too.
They get an A+ in my book!

They are a great company that tons of people like. If you try and find a better bullet at a better price I bet you will get old in your search. I always tell people about good deals and great customer service unless I want them for myself. I thought about getting in the lead cast business too, but I realized that missouri bullets is unbeatable in quality and price. That should say a lot coming from a bullet salesman.

It doesn't seem to me that they are. As previously stated, they guage interest, post about new products, and ask for input from members here. Some of the things they have done are picking a name out of a new bullet from THR member submissions, and offering a discount to THR members. (They also give a discount to LEO, military, EMS etc etc, IIRC.)

I can't recall anyone at all ever saying anything but positive things about them. Everyone that uses them seems really happy with them. I've never dealt with them, but they seem like real good people too.

It seems that other people talk about them, they are not talking about themselves and how great and wonderful and cheap their products are.

They dont have to use the forums as an advertising tool, we do all the advertising for them. Every member of this board that has purchased from them has been happy with the product they recieved, and if they werent, they were fixed. Brad is an awesome businessman and will continue to recieve my business as long as I am loading and buying lead bullets.

I have ordered from them and find that the bullets they sell are of the best quality of any that i have around. I probably have lead from at least four different companies here, and the MOBullets are the best quality. The last order i had had about 20 bullets or so that didnt fill out the mold right, and were misshapen, I just threw them in the junk bin and forgot about it, as the rest of them were great. Although, I probably should let Brad know about it, for QC reasons.

My guess is that the moderators would warn them if they were trespassing in the wrong forum. In the meantime, it isn't blatant enough to bother me.

Nope.

Missouri Bullet gets in here in conversations that a bunch of us consider worthwhile. I certainly appreciate reading things written by bullet makers in this forum. They're not the only ones who correspond here. I haven't seen any of them 'go too far' in hawking their goods here. I know for certain at least two other big casters have been here, and everybody was gentlemanly about it.

Awhile back some of them asked us if we'd buy a particular bullet if they'd cast it. THAT is a USEFUL SERVICE as far as I'm concerned. We gave them answers and we got the product we wanted. I rather like that.

It's anybody's opinion what "too much" would be. They certainly haven't crossed my line. I'd rather see their stuff :scrutiny: here than have 'em booted out.

Just MY opinion.

I wouldn't have found them if they weren't active on here. There is nothing wrong with a company participating in a forum, just imagine how much information you could learn if others were as open and honest? If MB is using this as a classified ad space, is Freakshow10mm doing the same? If he didn't post here, there would be a lot less interesting information available. When they start pushing their product and offering it for sale directly in a post, I'm sure the mods will take care of it.

OK, I was just asking as they were/are the only mfg. that keeps poping up on this thread (Handloading & Reloading). No other is ever seen to my knowledge, was not complaining, just wondering, not claiming or implying they are bad people at all, after all they are giving a service to the shooting community.

I assume the consensus is then a resounding (NO!).

Correct.

If anyone has questions about postings from any member, they should PM a mod or use the 'report a post' function.

No, it was a good question. I've ordered from them as well as longdayjake, and will continue to order from both. Quality sellers, both.

All right, I just didn't want someone going off on a tangent taking my question the wrong way. Its really hard at times to express ones self on the internet with no facial expressions vocal tone ect., ect. I'm known as one who many times uses a short answer that can be taken entirely wrong, even in real life.

So now with all this said I hope folks realize where I was coming from and nothing bad intended.

You just wait until Missouri Bullets reads this thread and comes in here and reams you a new one.... then you'll be sorry.... lol.... kidding of course....

I kind of thought the same thing at one point (being an avid reader of the Reloaders section), but then I realized they seemed to help out regardless of whether they had a possible solution to sell the OP or not.

I actually just got through with some PM's between us, and they were so helpful (despite not having a product to sell me) that I will be using them for my next purchase of lead... no doubt about it....

MBC and Stuff

One thing that is GREAT is that if there is enough interest, Brad will buy the correct mould and MAKE what you want in the hardness you want. How many manufacturers will do anything like that? Not many I suspect for a reasonable cost. I think he just wants to sell 10,000 bullets or so.

We can also get direct feedback from the people that actually are hands-on making the items we shoot. Try to talk to someone who makes primers for example. I have visited, had the tour, and it makes me want more of the fascinating silver items.

As far as shipping, you guys have to wait so long to get what you want, I just drive over and pick them up THE SAME DAY. After all I proudly live in the same town as MBC.

I have come to appreciate The High Road Forum as a sort of "filter", an excellent filter at that. I am a member on some other forums, some gun related, some not. This is the best moderated forum I have ever had the pleasure of being a member of.

About Missouri Bullet, I have never even detected a hint of solicitation from Brad, not that solicitation would make a difference. Instead, he has provided excellent service, product, pricing, and has been a source of consistent supply during times of inconsistent supply.
