I want to turn my 30-30 into a camp gun and would like some kind of light that is removeable does anone make one? also where do you get tru-glo sights for this gun?

A good (relatively) inexpensive way to go is to get a surefire 6P put it in a 1" weaver scope ring. Mount a single base from a weaver two piece set on the left side just ahead of the forend. Goes on and off fairly quick and when it is off you have a hand held light. I have basicly the same arrangement on an AR-180.

tru-glo sights are available from Cabela's website. i put a set on mine and i loved the sights, BUT they do not fit the Ranger model. they only fit the Traditional model. i think they were about $30. i was bummed that they didn't work with the Ranger. it will shoot, but my groups were about 8 inches high at 50 yards with the adjustment bottomed out. they don't appear to be all that resistant to rough treatment though. care must be taken not to whack the sights on anything. still they're probably the best available option for the '94 in low light.
