Any new purchases here? What have you guys been buying or looking at lately? My perceived firearm needs have been met long ago, so I'm just browsing for something to add to the safe for fun. Hence the od combination of a short list.

Here's my short list
- 5.56 Ruger American
- 365 9mm
- 4inch Sp101
- 10mm S&W or Springfield
- Beretta 1301 12ga

On the used rack, Ive been keeping an out out for a Beretta Mini cougar 9mm or Beretta PX4 Sub compact in 9mm... Or anything on the above list, used would be a good find too, stretch the dollar a bit, add to the safe by 2 instead maybe... :)

I'm still hoping (but not "holding my breath") that my favorite LGS will get me a stainless Ruger Bisley .44 Special. Back in December or early January I gave the owner of the LGS a $200 deposit just to keep his eyes open for one. He told me then that it might take a year - IF he could get it at all.
So, I keep hoping. I'll give it a few months. Something else will have probably caught my eye by then anyway. If so, I'll just have the guy apply that $200 to whatever gun I've decided I "need" at that time. ;)

What would you get the kimber chambered for?
I'm not sure yet, the particular one I'm looking at is only made in 6.5cm, 308 and 280ai. I love the 280ai but may just go for the 308 for its the lightest and the 84m action has a better feel then the long action. Plus it would be nice to have a rifle to buy cheaper factory ammo. But 280ai is still in my head.

Ammo and components.

Just sold $2500 worth of guns. Hoping to sell about $3000 worth more. Bought a sight for my turkey gun and a custom 450 Bushmaster barrel for a lightweight build I have going.

Looking for a 22LR. I was surprised to find I did not have one. :what:
what?! so many to choose from! If it were me, a stainless 10/22 with a desert tech stock, or a take down model. Ive never had a 10/22.

I have decided I have reached the point in life (50, retiring from the National Guard, heading to law school,) that I have plateaued for the want of toys. I now need to lean into master of the toys I have. So....ammo and training.

Having said that, I have a few grails I would grab if I got the chance. I would like an original 6" Python in good shape, and the most important dozen or so service rifles from the past hundred or so years.

Holding out for a Ruglin 336 in 35 Remington. But I may go ahead and get the Henry in 360 Buckhammer. Just not sure I want to collect brass and dies for another caliber. Maybe I'll ditch the .303 Enfield Sporter..that, or the K-98 Mauser.

Have been itching for something new myself---have been looking at:

Stainless Mini-14---I have a slew of factory mags from years ago
6in 629--will be deleting the lock if I get it
S&W Equalizer---have been wanting a smallish carry gun like this
Glock 43x MOS--see above

I have the Springfield TRP long slide in 10mm that you have on your list. About the only drawback for the 10mm if you reload is that it ejects brass to the other county.
I personally have been looking at buying the Walther Magnum Pistol (WMP) in 22 magnum seems like a neat little addition to my Kel-tec PMR 30.

I’m focusing my collecting this year on WW II guns. I’ve sold a couple of my “new” semi autos to put some money in the gun fund. I sold a Browning Hi Power last night and immediately bought a CZ 27 built under German occupation! That makes #8 for the year…

I've pretty much whittled my accumulation down to a handful of old 22 target rifles/trainers, stuff I carry, stuff I compete with, and sentimental guns. I no longer desire to own a "bunch" of guns. Any future additions will be to expand or improve competition guns or something I've wanted for a long time and could never afford (if it's suddenly more affordable)

Excepting a 22 carbine that isn't a 10/22 or clone, I seriously doubt anything made in my lifetime will catch my eye.
S&W 41
Woodsman Match Target
Remington 40x
Maybe another model 52 Winchester if it's different enough from what I have.

Since you already have all the 'needs' covered in your collection... Have you thought of a bullpup? I have been eyeing up the VHS-2 (aka Springfield Hellion) now that AR pistols are supposedly SBRs. I like the idea of having a very short and maneuverable overall length, but the benefits of a 16" barrel.

I would like to have a 4.5" barrel blue/wood 45 S&W. Also an old beat up single shot shotgun to restore/fix up. Actually would rather have the single shot more than the 45. But, I'm not much into the gun buying mood right now. But that could change.

I have had a little stockpile set aside for quite some time now. Have come close several times to pulling the trigger on something(latest was a Sig 220 Legion), but have yet to find that "one" that tickled my fancy to the point, I had to have it, even tho there are funds available for something else that might come along. That said, in all the years I have been able to purchase my own firearms(over half a century), I have yet to feel the need to have others make that choice for me. While I may enlist the knowledge of others to determine the reliability and the quality of a specific firearm, if I am buying for myself, giving folks a list and asking "which one" has never entered my mind. Seems that would mean I am buying for them. I do however, give my sons and grandkids that option.

Right now I've got a 700 action and Bartlein 2B barrel at my smiths to be put together and a Manners MCH3 stock on order to drop it in. The Leupold VX6HD 3-18x50 scope and mounts are sitting downstairs now.

Putting that together is going to consume this years toy budget.

I am looking at trading/selling a couple rifles in order to put together a .22LR precision practice set up though. All the other bases are covered.
