Book would be epic if the MHI convention takes place at the same time as SHOT show (or if it's at least mentioned by one of the characters).
But I'm sure as heck ordering it - right now.

I ended up buying from Baen's online store. Hope you get paid more that way. ;)

Great read! Just finished it. Got it via the Baen Books monthly bundle (free WIFI email delivery to the Kindle is simple).

Tremendous! Although I am also disappointed you wont be here in AZ on the tour. I read Alpha last year soon as it came out. At the time I happened to have a sickness that caused feverish hallucinations and strange vivid dreams/confusion with reality for about three weeks, during which I read the book. Most of the weird mental things revolved around werewolves and Harbinger. It was quite a ride and I literally felt like I was in the book; a few times I didn't realize I wasn't in it. The buckets of cough sirup and other meds I consumed probably didn't help matters. Any way, it was definitely a unique book reading experience. If I wasn't so miserable sick, it really would have been really cool.
Can't wait to read legion!

Baen offers more options than Amazon. You can read the Baen e-books on a Kindle, just move them into the Kindle folder. Only a couple more steps, really.

I would like to point out that the reason Baen e-books are not on Amazon is because Amazon will not put up content without copy protection. Baen has made a commitment to DRM free material. Larry would have to switch publishers to get his e-books on Amazon.

Yep. And it costs pretty much nothing to have Baen mail the book to your kindle. Something like $0.18 per megabyte sent (Amazon's fee), but the book is smaller than a meg.

Bought you book Tuesday evening, and spent all day Wednesday reading it.

It did not disappoint!

Keep up the good work!

I appreciate the whole Baen vs. Amazon thing, but with a Kindle convenience rules and I'd love to just buy with one click.

Now, make no mistake, I've read everything else you've written, including the short stories in the Crimson volumes 3...4?, and will certainly buy the latest edition of MHI. Just wish it was a touch, for my lazy self, less complicated.

Thank you for bringing gun-geekdom to the populace!

Ordered and received.

(Also, Larry, if you navigate here
and hit pagedown about three times,
you'll see an ad for this over in the
right-hand column.) monsterhunterlegion.jpg

Got our copy yesterday.

You know, I was just looking through our [increasingly impressive] stack of Corriea books, and I noticed that none of them is signed.

I have no idea how that happened.

Must be a manufacturing defect.

:D

Unfortunately, the Kindle edition of the first book is only available from Baen.

Not to be argumentative, but when comparing the ease of going to Amazon and buying a Kindle book compared to Baen's procedures, I am sticking w/ the former. My iPad is filled with unread books I bought from them.

I'm on tour now, so internet access has been sporadic. I woke up this morning and I'm fairly sure I'm somewhere outside of NYC. :p

Thanks for the support guys. It is going really well. Things have been hopping on my end.

I love the Monster Hunter series. My wife and I fight over the copies when they come out. It's a good thing I work shifts.
I just finished the first book in the Grimnoir chronicles. I can't say enough good things about that book.
Keep up the good work.

I just checked a local B&N yesterday and they didn't have it. Sold out, I suspect, because this is where I bought the others.

No worries, though...I'll continue to find a way to put my money in your pockets for your books! I was hooked on the first one because it was FUN reading!

Maybe I'll get a chance to meet you at Ft. Belvoir...but don't take it personally if I opt out of that for overtime opportunity that weekend. I've got bills to pay, too, you know!

:):)

Oh, and by the way...I've one serious criticism on your writing:

You write a LOT slower than I can read, dude! Seriously, you know how aggravating it is to finish one of your books and be wired up for MONTHS waiting for the next?

:D

That's OK, though...I'll settle for high quality over high volume any day.

Thank you for a new reading experience!

I borrowed the first three MHI books from RetiredUSNChief and devoured them in less than a week. I'll let him borrow the next one from me after it gets here.

Got my hardcopy. Will probably finish it by the time I land in South Carolina tomorrow afternoon. Won't start it until wheels-up tomorrow morning, too. :D

It seems that I got my autographed copy from Uncle Hugos way before most of you guys got your copies from Amazon. Amazon might be the biggest game in town, but it seems like they might not be the best.

Just curious, and this is a question that won't spoil anything but the first page - is this book in first or third person?
