My signed copy from amazon is going to take forever, :banghead: The earliest they are claiming is early October, may I ask why that is. I could buy the unsigned copy but I kind of want a signed version since all the other books I have of yours are not signed. Thanks.

Try Dean Koontz.

He's pro-gun and dog-friendly.

I have read some Koontz and enjoyed it, but it just doesn't speak to me the way King does. I buy King books second hand so as not to directly support the antis. Koontz is much more dog-friendly, now that I think about it.

I thought it was four elephants and only one turtle.

Just like Axel, my signed copy from Amazon has also been delayed; since I'm too impatient to wait, I'll be buying a regular copy ASAP. I'm still going to get the signed copy, though. :)

Gahhhhh! Write faster Larry! Give me something, anything, sequel to Dead Six, another Grimnoir, anything.

Signed copies from Uncle Hugo's arrived Monday evening. Finished the book this morning. Presented RetiredUSNChief with his very own copy to thank him for letting me borrow the first three.

For the autographed copies, I signed 3000 pages to be bound in several months ago. Those all presold, so they had me sign another 3000 about 2 months ago. I don't know if those are gone too, or if they took longer to distribute or what. I'm not really sure what is going on at Amazon right now.

You ate my weekend, you fiend!

Worse, I paid full price at the bookstore!

Gaaahhhhhhhhhhhh!

Thanks for the BHP in this one, but why did it have to be in the hands of Ultimate Lawyer? and CHROME! Yech.

Larry, I preordered June 10th. Yesterday I got a notice that Amazon is pushing the ship date back to November 20th. My son and I can't wait that long :), so I cancelled and ordered the non-signed version, which shipped instantly.

Just FYI in case you or your publisher wanted to know. Kind of strange because Amazon has been great for me with this one exception.

I thought Ultimate Lawyer was one of the better side(bar) characters.

Oh and GREAT to see some old faces in the storyline.

I cannot wait to read this! I devoured the first three and re-read them at least twice since. I'll pick it up today. Looks like my "weekend" is going to be Monday-Tuesday this week so I can read the book. (The joys of being self employed. :neener:)

I loved Ultimate Lawyer. He wound up getting some of the best lines in the whole book. His interaction with Mosh was one of my favorite parts. :)

It is a table top role playing game, so you would play with a group of friends.

Sam, I am familiar with that one. They quoted me in it. :)

Poper, from what he's said on his blog about it, they're mostly waiting for Mike Kupari to finish unwinding from his recent deployment. Larry's initial write on his side is done. Of course, I could be misreading his blog entries entirely. :)

Larry, do you have any advice on how to convert the Hero system to a D-percentile system? :D

FatCat, if the fact that the length of the list of firearms used in his novels could rival an IRS appendix isn't enough, how 'bout the fact that Larry's been here since The Beginning of THR?

Indeed, Shamadin, Mike is currently up to his eyeballs in Sword of Exodus, aka Dead Six 2.

Any chance of a Dead Six sequel?
My half is pretty much done. Mike's is close to done, then we just need to edit the two together. It is called Swords of Exodus.

Well, gee whiz FatCat. If you're gonna jump in and pseudo moderate a thread you should probably do it when it new rather than a month old. :p I am glad to see that despite my retirement from modding that some things never change, and there is always somebody helpful ready to come along and tell the mods when they're wrong.

By the way, and I got mod permission. They said yes, probably because I was one of the founding mods on this board, like member #5, wrote the first book in the series based on a gun forum thread, the rough draft was proof read by THR's members, and the cover was designed by THR's founder, and I became well known by writing fiction on THR, oh, and then when I self published it I sold it on THR, and then the little gun forum book that could became a national bestseller. Fast forward a few years and I haven't forgot my roots.

So stick that in your pipe and smoke it. :)
