Mosin Nagant project, Integral comp/brake?

I've started a Mosin project,typical stuff,boyds stock,scope mount, etc.I plan to chop the barrel, and have a question. Has anyone done a integral comp/brake? I have access to a Bridgeport, and figure"why not?" For 100 bucks, if i mess it up,no biggie.....

It's done on remmy 700's all the time. assuming you cut the barrle back far enough to be legal and have some wall thickness to work with sure. It'll work assuming your design is of sound principal. Or you could just mill out a seperate on and try soldering it on, till you get a design that works for you.

I am working on a mosin scout project right now, and have decided against a brake (for now). However I understand it is very common for folks to install an AK-74 type brake.
