Ok , i have had a couple old rifles handed down to me and need a little help finding some parts . The one I am having the hardest time with is a Mossberg 142k . I'ts missing the bolt and extractor . Not sure if it's worth getting the parts for it , but would like to get it back to operating condition so I can pass it on to my daughter . Yes I have looked around on line , but want to know what you guys think , is it worth getting the parts (cost wise) , or should I just forget it and call it a wash ?

Just a suggestion: you'll get much better responses if you post a thread entitled "Mossberg 142K: need new bolt and extractor"

When the title of your thread isn't explicit, you just get whoever happens to open the thread while procrastinating. Kind of like opening a restaurant with no sign outside, and hoping that whoever wanders in the door is hungry and likes barbecue.

Suggest you repost w/ new title. Good luck,

The best place for parts is www.havlinsales.com . Vic and Cheryl are Mossberg experts, a pleasure to deal with and will most likely have what you need.

FWIW I have several Mossberg rifles including a pair of 142s and they are great rifles to have fun with. In your place I would try to bet it back in firing shape before I give up on it.
