Mossberg 500 5 round to 8 round

Hey, I purchased no to long ago a barrel for my mossberg 500 that will allow an 8-round tube. Now my question is do i have to buy a new spring/follower? and if so has anyone had any experence with thoes HiViz followers (Blazing orange and such)?

Yep you'll need a new spring,can't help with
the follower question but i did replace the
plastic one in my mossberg with a metal
one.It seems to work fine.

You would need a new spring and mag tube. The same follower can be used (well, for mine at least...I have a newer one that came with an aluminum follower, not plastic)

Not sure about the follower, but definitely a new spring and mag tube. You might want to check brownells, numrich, etc for a metal follower if yours has a plastic one. Not really needed, but a nice add-on.
