I have a good collection of guns. Well rounded and very open minded. I like em' all and everything seems to have a strong point.... my rush comes from finding out what it is.

Well no shock to most, the gun I speak of is a 1911. Previously my Wilson combat classic was my most accurate (at least in my hands) followed by my Dan Wesson..... but they both just dropped a notch.

The gun im speaking of... STI Trojan!.... this is the 6" 9mm model. Im sure the reduced recoil of 9mm and the increased sight radius of the 6" helps, OH and the extra weight on the nose makes the balance of that baby just every so sweet

It was basically cheating :neener: I have never shot anything so accurate, EVER. It blew me away.

I know i am not alone here. Have you ever had a gun that literally punched a hole RIGHT where you aimed it... if so, what was it?

The most accurate I have is a stock Beretta 92FS. I just put a Bar Sto barrel in my Glock 20C. The initial test load looked great. I made up a whole box and I'll be trying them out Tomarrow.

Kingofthehill,

I really like that Trojan. I've read nothing but glowing reports on STI's, your's looks killer!!

I have a "lazer" pistol too, my accurized CZ-97B. I have lots of guns I can shoot pretty accurately, but this 97 makes shooting accurately very easy for me. It's almost effortless for me to shoot it incredibly well, and it really makes me look a lot better than I am.

Thanks schmeky!... Im also a HUGE fan of my CZ 75. It is a heck of an accurate gun.. More so then anything else ive shot/owned in that price range

That is a nice looking gun. The long slides have fallen out of favor recently it seems. I like the caliber as well. It must make for a very light shooting pistol.

Thanks for the post, I have a deposit on an STI Trojan, hopefully it'll make me look good too

haha... I hope so too. I expected good things from this one, but i didn't expect this level of accuracy.

I didn't have my staple gun today to use my normal targets and bring them home, so i had to buy the adhesive ones and i couldn't bring them back with me since they tare when i tried to remove them.

I'll get some pics and video tomorrow at the range compared to others i own.

Im a pretty good shot... but this was just shocking.

A longer sight radius definitely helps out. I've only shot a couple STI pistols and they both shot very well.

A few I own that shoot very well is a S&W Model 686 357 Mag with a 6" barrel.

In auto loaders. A Sig P229 Sport in 357 Sig. CZ Tactical Sport in 9mm. A Ruger Mark II Government 6 7/8" barrel. Glock 24 with a KKM aftermarket barrel in 357 Sig.

My one has a bull barrel, it's in .38 Super, but it's only a 5 inch. I can't wait to get it!

Are you going to do a video on the Trojan? I think you should, there aren't many on youtube :)

I have found the STI Trojan 5" to be super in regards to accuracy. In .45 ACP it is really a pleasure to shoot.

Yeah, i started doing reviews of my guns on youtube (my sig underneath this post has the link) and i haven't done the Trojan yet because today was the first time i got to fire it. I put 450rds down range today with it though. I'll do another trip out tomorrow i hope and try and remember to get video/pics to include in the review

Nice shooting with that great looking long slide Trojan. What ammo are you using; does it have a preference for any particular load/bullet weight?

My two most accurate pistols have been both .45s; one a Browning BDA that could easily keep up with any out of the box Gold Cup; and a Colt Combat Commander that was part of a limited run from their Custom Shop. Either gun with IMI 185 gr. match ammo could keep 5 shots all in the center black at 50' without any problem.

I have only had time to take it out twice. Both times using Remington UMC 9mm from Cabela's... nothing fancy.

I have a buddy who reloads and always looking for a challenge to beat the factory stuff. He is interested and were going to work on it. He has a 10mm setup i use in my Dan Wesson that is beyond amazing. Im going try and get out again sometime next week to try a variety of 9mm stuff from budget bulk ammo to the best i can get my hands on.

Hello. I share your fondness for the STI 9mm Trojan with 6" slide/bbl.

This is easily one of the most accurate and easy-to-shoot pistols I've ever shot. Its accuracy has proven to be superb and feeding has been flawless.

Enjoy your pistol.

Best.
