I am sure this type of subject has been thrown around before but the other thread got me thinking.....

A few to get us going...1."Machinge guns are illegal" sheeple
2 "Assault weapons are more dangerous than other semi auto firearms" brady bunch-sure a gun that fires WEAKER bullets than dear rifles is MORE dangerous

3 "Blood in the streets at the end of the assualt weapons ban" ......Almost every news outlet on earth and repeated by sheeple

4 "No honost man needs more than 10 rounds" Bill (send them lambs to the slaughter)Ruger....Benidict Arnold

5 "Police across the nation support the assualt weapons ban".........brady bunch, news media, sheepl, police talking heads
Actual officers that patrol a beat did not support the unconstittional law.....

There's a new link in the library to a collection of anti-gun quotes. "Never Forget" in the top section of the right column.

It's xml+xsl, so if you have an old browser it may puke and just give you raw text or something. I dunno.

My current fave is in regards to the FN 5.7 and referring to it as a "cop-killer." This has also been used to describe other guns and types of ammo. To imply that a gun is somehow inherently more deadly to members of a profession is just ridiculous.

"If it saves

JUST ONE LIFE, isn't it WORTH it?"

Ignoring, of course, how many lives could be saved if the victims were armed. ;)

Ban Huskevarna chainsaws - they are Forest Service killers!
Ban spoons - they are talk show host weight enhancers!
More truckers die needlessly at the steering wheel of a Kenworth - so BAN KW - it's for the truckers!

"This semi-automatic Assault Weapon fires 'X' rounds per second" *

* 'X' being some number greater than the rate of fire of any AUTOMATIC weapon known to Man.

Gordon F....Officers I spoke with (Southeast Texas) ...

Found no use for the law....One even told me he prefered "assault type weapons" because they are weaker than "hunting rfles" and encourage spray and pray......"I will just pop him on the reload" is what he said....I still don't know if he was talking about autos or semis though.......

I have little doubt that the majority of law-enforcement officers supports “assault-weapons†bans, just like the majority of the general public. Of course, there are pro-RKBA cops out there, but I think all four of them post here on the High Road. ;)

A friend and I were discussing a story about concerning a local man who, according to the news report, has had 3 machine guns, 17 suppressors, and 2 handguns stolen. One of our anti coworkers chimed in with, " Great, more assault weapons on the street."

"Guns are daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaangerous!"

Uh-huh, yeah, honey...that's pretty much the whole point.

Reminds me of an old Texas Ranger I read about in one of Sheriff Jim Wilson's collumns in Shooting Times. The old Ranger kept a 1911A1 tucked in his waistband with a rawhide string tied around the grip to deactivate the grip safety. An instructor back in the '60s got a horrified look in his face and said, stuttering, "isn't that dangerous?" The old Ranger said "if the damned ol' thing wasn't dangerous I wouldn't be carrying it." :D

"Yes, he used a stock. We also ban stocks that hold more than 10 bullets...so you can't shoot a whole lot of bullets quickly"

Sen. Chuck Schumer, explaining how the original AWB would have prevented the Long Island Subway mass murder.

Look at my sig. line for another gem.

The bogus term "assault weapon" itself.

Statements such as: "These Assault weapons have military-derived enhancement features that increase their lethality over normal hunting rifles allowing killers to shoot without even aiming, killing large numbers of people quickly by "spray-firing" from the hip"

That's almost a direct quote from Sen. Lautenberg (D-N.J.)

Gee, I thought it was a .50 caliber rifle. I guess my Ruger 10/22 is now "The .22LR caliber terror weapon."

On that subject, I showed a friend of mine my silhouette 10/22. He said "Woah, what is that, an autoshotty?"

I put it back in the safe without saying a word and left the room.

"The AR-15 was designed by the military to shoot through schools and McDonalds." That was said by the Brady Bunch in a news paper. I read it at www.awbansunset.com but sadly you can not easily search their forum anymore so I can not find the actual source.

I had a government teacher in high school tell our class that an M-60 machine gun could shoot bullets that would travel a mile without dropping.

My cough, which sounded something like "bullspit" but not quite, and subsequent laughter did not improve my grade.

'A .357 magnum can go right thru an engine block'

Hahahahahahahahahahahahaaaa

'Do it for the children'

Most liberals wouldn't do anything for children if they would live two years longer. Children don't vote, few have money and NONE are worth the time of day to ANY politician.

Even the thought of a 50 BMG mentioned in the media, is hyped up to make the round seem like a 105mm.

'The suspect was captured with over a hundred rounds of ammo in his arsenal'
