Gordon F....Officers I spoke with (Southeast Texas) ...

Found no use for the law....One even told me he prefered "assault type weapons" because they are weaker than "hunting rfles" and encourage spray and pray......"I will just pop him on the reload" is what he said....I still don't know if he was talking about autos or semis though.......

I have little doubt that the majority of law-enforcement officers supports “assault-weapons†bans, just like the majority of the general public. Of course, there are pro-RKBA cops out there, but I think all four of them post here on the High Road.

Reminds me of an old Texas Ranger I read about in one of Sheriff Jim Wilson's collumns in Shooting Times. The old Ranger kept a 1911A1 tucked in his waistband with a rawhide string tied around the grip to deactivate the grip safety.
