Most assinine gun quotes.....

I have little doubt that the majority of law-enforcement officers supports “assault-weapons†bans, just like the majority of the general public. Of course, there are pro-RKBA cops out there, but I think all four of them post here on the High Road.
Well if we are talking about quotes that are less than correct then the above is one of them. I don't want to insult the person who wrote this and call it assinine - even though the sentiment expressed in the quote probably has insulted a lot of LEOs. Sometimes people have to remove their heads from a dark place where the sun does not shine and see the light of day. Acting like an Ostrich and then telling the world a description of a thing that you missed seeing because your head was buried to the neck is not a very good way to gain support of those whom you are describing. There are plenty of police officers, sheriffs, marshals, federal agents, district attorneys, federal prosecutors, probation officers, corrections officers who are strong supporters of the right to keep and bear arms, including so called assault weapons. I do not know if we are in the majority or not but, I sure as heck know we number a great deal more than four, nor are we limited to using this site!

Sincerely,
Glenn B

Some of my favorite gun related quotes:

"The .223 round was designed to injure, not kill"

"Tighter barrel twists result in less traumatic wounds"

"A near miss from a .50 BMG will still damage/injure the target"

"California has the most restrictive gun laws in the USA"

"I can shoot 1/2 MOA groups with iron sights... off hand!"

"IR lasers are illegal to own"

"you are entitled to your opinion, but saying certain things goes over the line. Dianne Feinstein is still a *human* being for God's sake..." :p

Are you being serious?

"With my Romanian, I would only pull around 3" groups at 600 meters, and I am a government trained former sharpshooter so my shooting error is null or none..."

And to analyze this "gem", 3" @ 600yds is .5MOA which is possible at 100yds with some rifle/ammo combinations but my understanding is it takes a lot of tweaking and work on the bench. With a Romanian anything, I'm skeptical. As for the gov't sharpshooter error, they're human too. Whoever said that is either so full of crap their eyeballs are brown, or they need to get over themselves. I'd guess the only shooting they're good at is shooting their mouth off on the internet.

So what you are telling me is that if an officer is shot with a semi auto assualt weapon he will be more dead than if he was shot with a bolt-action 30.06, a shot gun, or is hit with a claw hammer  ? No? Well then why would police officers that are RTKBA proponents support a ban on any firearm that is not either defective or too dangerous.... Are you trying to say semi auto firearms are too dangerous for average people? If so, please explain it to me again why the ban is gone and what makes you so special as to be able to control this wild beast, the semi auto :neener: ....

I am simply posting my experience you really don't have to agree and you can't change my experience.... YOU and the antis lost(AWB died Sept. 14 2004), so get over it:neener: ! Maybe you are one of the officers that think the police are special and should get special treatment and have special weapons? I will leave the conjecture alone though, as your post has spoken far more as to wich way you lean than I could hope to......Asinine indeed sir
