REALLY wanting to pick an olive drab Sig 1911-22 up and mount a Jpoint in the rear dovetail. Has anyone done this and if not does anyone think the wieght, although minimal, would make the slide slow enough to cause malfunctions?

Fasten some weight close to sight weight on the slide and test it.
Oh, how do you fasten it on? I'd have to look at it. It isn't a lot of weight.
Duck tape might work with the weight against the rear sight, but be carefull what you toss where. three or four shots should tell the story.
