They are often SAID ON THE INTERNET to be the same.

Now finding somebody who has used both labels will be the trick.

Yes, I was told that by an MPRO7 rep on the phone a while back (years now).

Are M-Pro7 and Hoppe's Elite the same?

The cleaners are based on similar technology, but are different formula's. M-Pro7 Gun Cleaner is formulated more on the conditioning and corrosion protection side. Hoppe's Elite Gun Cleaner on the cleaning side.

The oils are very different. M-Pro7 Gun Oil LPX is a full synthetic with some crazy additives. Hoppe's Elite Gun Oil (and the T3 version) are based on highly refined petroluem based oils with synthetic additives.
