Finally got done with my re-evaluation and upgrading of my MSAR STG556.

The upgrades are discussed in video form here.

-Promoted Pawn lowered & extended optic rail
-Aimpoint Comp ML2 4MOA Red Dot
-Larue Tactical LT150 Mount (lower 1/3 co-witness with irons)
-GG&G MAD rear BUIS & Front Flip-Up
-KNS 0.034 NM front sight post
-9 inch side rail
-Surefire X200

I can't wait to get her zeroed! After another few hundred trouble-free rounds, this will likely become my home defense carbine of choice!

They sure are nice looking and handling carbines. I'd like one but everytime I look at them around these parts the price tag is north of $3K.

I really like your set up, though. What kind of groups is it producing?

$3k!? Yikes! That's highway robbery! From what I've seen, nowadays they usually change hands at around $1k-$1100.

I'm not sure about groups per se, b/c I don't usually shoot it off the bench and I don't normally shoot premium grade .223/5.56 rounds. That being said, it is very, very easy to hit a man-sized target from the standing position at 100m using the Aimpoint. To really see about groups, I may have to throw my ACOG on there and try shooting some of the good stuff. The only problem is, when regular .223 is $0.50/round, the premium ammo is really gonna thin out my wallet! :uhoh:

Here's my MSAR E4 with a couple of other long guns I got in the last few months. I not have a T1 clone as the optic and like it quite a bit. A rifle that is this compact deserves a compact optic platform.

And that is why I've been a reloader for 20+ years. My "plinking" 5.56 loads run 18 cents each. Premium loads run 52 cents each.

Yep, I've got one. Great rifle, well made and accurate. No problems at all in over 4500 rounds.
