My Collection...so far

Hmm... what your collection is sorely lacking now is a nice .22LR, (in whatever platform suits you the most... sooo many choices out there from the soberly traditional to the uber-tactical). This is not debatable. It is a moral imperative.

You see, every shooter will eventually come to realize that he/she must have at least one gun that fires those amazing little .22 cal nuggets of fun. The sooner you get one, the smaller your ":banghead: why-didn't-I-get-one-earlier :banghead: " moment will be. I'm telling you, it's true!

Yes, .22s

Gotta agree that you're gonna need some .22 cal hardware.

Suggest maybe a Ruger 10/22 and a companion Ruger Mk III (or a Mk II if you can find one).

It's nice to have hardware and a stash of ammo, but practice is vital and comes at a price.

Practice keeps the skills exercised and sharp.

Shooting a brick of .22 LR in an afternoon is an order of magnitude lower in cost than shooting the same amount of, say, .223 Rem in that same afternoon.

I take my bigger calibers out now and then to keep acquainted with their operation and so on, but what I shoot most is one or another of the .22s. Mine happen to mostly be Rugers.

Your mileage may vary.

+1 needing a .22, but even with all the after market add ons, a 10-22 still looks like a 10-22. (JMO)

What that table needs is an M&P 15/22. What a nice way to round out that table.

That chromed AK is awesome. Where did you get it?
Thanks! I ordered it from Classic Arms (scroll down to the middle of their home page and you'll see it). They advertise it as "chrome" but it looks more like the stainless satin that you'd see on a Springfield XD's slide (which i prefer)

I may be wrong here, but I believe a shotgun would have a tighter pattern
Cool stuff and video - thanks for posting!
hahaha! To clear it up, that was my first time using my 75 round drum and I was shouldering the rifle n blasting away as fast as i could lol and thanx!

I can deduce that you don't live in California.
You know those photos are cruel for folks that live there.
lol I'm GLAD to be a Florida resident (we even get Disney World discounts)!

As far as the .22LR comments, I'm definitely planning on getting one because i see a lot of pros and no cons with that caliber (though I'm ordering a Saiga 5.45s and its conversion parts on Monday so it will have to wait). I'm leaning towards the Ruger 10/22 because I LOVE the creativeness of this DIY project that i found on youtube :what:

I'm far from the tacti-coolest kid on the block but I like the idea of a Ruger 10/22 that's using a emptied airsoft P90 as a stock.
1) Its not an expensive project 2) I've asked around and it hasn't altered accuracy. 3) The barrel won't melt the stock if installed correctly (the guy has very thorough tutorials).

Here's a pic:

lol...I had the same exact thoughts on the 10/22 until I saw that video and his tutorials! I've seen versions using the G36 and M249 SAW airsoft body as a stock but I'm leaning towards this one because those look weird with the skinny .22LR mag hanging from the .223 magazine well.
PLUS, imagine seeing someone pull out what you think is a M249 SAW at the range and hearing the pop of a .22LR! :scrutiny:

Hurry up and buy it before you get married and end up losing your 2nd Amendment right lol

haha! I was going to get a Saiga 7.62 and convert it, but when saw this one i fell in love with it. Its a WASR 10/63 and i was always told to stay away from those because of the quality of the finish, but that's not a problem with this (plus i wanted to replace the furniture that came with it regardless). But its a great rifle :D
