I got to shoot my 1st reloads in 9mm today. I shot about 80 of them. All went off, and the accuracy was fine with me at 15 yards. Here are the details.

    Springfield XD9 (2004)
    Shooting 15 yards standing
    9mm 9x19
    Winchester once fired brass
    generic FMJ 115 grain bullets
4.8 to 5.0 grains of Unique
    OAL 1.151

    here is the target:

    I am pleased.

The flyers were from me shooting a friends Beretta on my target. I did not like it much, or it did not like my Reloads.

There's nothing like success! Enjoy reloading - It's a lifelong hobby in itself. So many people get into reloding just to save a buck. To me it's a fun activity and you get bullets to shoot.

    Thank you, Fourbits.

I have reloaded for rifle. Never for pistol. This is probably the best grouping I have gotten from my gun. I have never had factory pistol rounds shoot this good from this gun.

Looks like you need to reload some more. You must be low on ammunition now...

    Eb1,
If you think your reloads are accurate using a 115gr bullet try loading a 124gr bullet. You will be very pleased with the results.

BTW, good job on the first batch, they will only get better each time you make them!!!

I have 1000 of lead coming in. Hopefully my gun likes them. I know that I will not be able to push them as hard, but we will see how it goes. I will update when this happens.

This is very encouraging, because 9mm is what I'm going to start reloading after my current (first reloading experiments) in .45ACP.

I want to get everything right with .45 first, am slightly apprehensive (not quite "nervous") about 9mm's smaller case and higher pressures. Glad it went well for you - nice target :)

9mm has a large safety factor, as compared to .40, so be cool, it's not an issue.

I use KEAD hardcast and run them around 1100 fps with no lead issues.
