I finally was able to pick up my ccp yesterday, and got my first chance to use it today. I dropped my LCP in a nemesis pocket holster into the front pocket of my khakis. The first pair I tried printed a bit too much when sitting, so I went with a pair of Dockers instead. I was a bit concerned that the gun would print too much when seated, but I found this was not really an issue. I carried this way all day, all over town without any problems or discomfort. The only issue I had was remembering to put my keys in my left pocket since the gun was now in the right. I even forgot that I was carrying most of the time. I will have to try my XD-SC once I get fully used to the LCP. So I guess I am now part of the carrying public like so many of those here in THR. Cheers! :)

Congratulations on your permit. It is so easy to get one in our state yet so few take the time to do it.

The LCP makes a great pocket gun or as a Bug to your regular carry gun.

Congratulations on being a card-carrying gun-toting nutjob!
You'll be amazed at how easily a good holster and belt will conceal that XD, nobody is looking, I wouldn't even worry much about "printing" while seated ... who is looking at your lap anyway?

You've finally arrived

The only issue I had was remembering to put my keys in my left pocket since the gun was now in the right.
This will take a bit of getting used to at first. When pocket carrying, you want nothing else in that pocket. Keys, pens, coins and other objects can jam a gun's mechanism or even pull its trigger. :uhoh:

Don't worry too much about printing. I have a buddy who carries regularly that had to ask me if I was carrying my Bobtail commander when he was looking for it! 99% of folks will never notice it and if they do, probably won't say anything.

Welcome to the fold.

Congratulations on exercising your 2nd amendment right! Just remember: Practice, practice, practice, and when you're done practicing, practice some more.

stay safe

congrats!
like lots of people will say and i agree, no one will notice and they're not really looking for it

Congrats on the first day!

Get used to the LCP, then move up as possible. It's true--people don't notice, if you're doing it right. I even feel naked if I'm walking around without the weight of my old S&W pistol at my hip.

Welcome to the club! Like others have said, don't worry about printing. The only people that will probably notice are law enforcement and other permit holders. After a while, carrying becomes normal and you won't even think about the fact that you are carrying.

Nice work! The good news is your CO CHL is honored by many states. So the next time you're in Texas, conceal away.

Just make sure you know the laws of the state you're carrying in.
