My first Model 686(Pic's!)your opinions please?

I recently found and bought(After doing alot of :banghead: )this S&W Model 686-3(4-inch)revolver! And, please tell me what you think of it?:

It looks great! But it looks blued in the pictures, more like a 586 than a 686.

Oh, yeah, I forgot - I was banging my head looking for a nice blue 586 when I came across what I thought was a good deal on the stainless 686 - so I grabbed it.

No, it's just the fair lighting-as my revolver is an stainless 686-3(Not an "Blued" Model 586!)!

Your Model 686-3 is a real nice looking revolver too(Like mine is!)! And, I know what you mean about hunting for(And not finding an nice 586!)and snatching up the first real sweet looking 686 that I finally found!

I always thought the 686 is a handsome revolver! I've noticed some 686s have a stainless (or hard chrome) front sight, and others have a blued front sight. Is there a year cutoff for this, or is there a different model # for this? Thanks-

Very nice! I have one just like it just not as clean. I love those wooden grips.
