Quite frankly, I'm not seeing a problem there.
Nothing worse then having an extended mag release sticking out too far on a carry gun.
And finding out it got pushed by accident and dropped a mag two blocks down the street from where you need it in a gun fight!
Sorry, but it really looks like a training issue on your part to me.
If you can't reach or push it with your gun hand thumb?
Punch it with your left hand thumb on the way down to grab another mag.

Yes, on the older CZ the button stuck out far too much. I rememb er entering a building, carrying a 357, when the guy behind me drew his 13 shot FN High-Power. Doiiong, clink, slide, when his magazine hit the floor and slit (or is slid) past me converting a 13 shot pistol to a single shot pistol. I only cary pistols with a mag release on its heel, and if I had my say, carry pistols would always have TWO MAG RELEASES, one Luger type button, later used by Colt and one heel type as found on a P-38.
Why does anybody think that the specification fopr the pistol replacing the Pi-08 required a mag release on the heel. The lessons and the reason for that are forgotten.
Granted, newer designs, such as a SIG the button is less protuding.
If a button must be built up, pack the removed mag release in wet cloth, then use a MIG welder set for spot welding to build up the button. Then put the mag release into a 4 jaw chuck , machine it down, chamfer the sharp corners and cut circulat serrations into button wher you press it. Alternatively use a fine 3 angled key file and cut checckering into it.
