The VEPR isnt a stock, its a brand of AK built off of RPK receivers. You MIGHT be able to fit a VEPR stock to your gun, but no guarantees since they are an entirely different receiver type to a regular AK.

If your AK has side rails, you can mount a scope via the normal AK side rail system. Otherwise you can buy a dust cover with a built-in weaver rail. Obviously the dust cover mount wont be as sturdy as a side rail bolted into the receiver.

Gratuitous AK pic, ignore the bolt action:
arsenal AK in 7.62x39 with a PKAS on the side rail

The dust cover mounts wont hold a zero very well. But, there isnt much else out there for the price. Other options would be an ultimak mount that replaces the gas tube. They're just shy of $100. Or, you could buy an optics rail and mount it to your receiver. I was getting ready to do that very thing, but i sold my MAK. I think you can get a rail kit for like $40, but you have to drill a couple holes in your receiver. Once its done though you can mount any russian pattern AK sight.

    Edit:
Its an addiction. Seriously. I started looking at AKs around new years and i'm $1700 in since then.

Yeah, it does need some work; it's chambered for the wrong cartridge.

The Norinco 84S (.223) and Mak-90 (.223) both have a rep for having a weak firing pin spring that allows them to double/slamfire and on rare occasion FIRE UPON loading.

You should plan on having the firing pin spring replaced asap.

(Std AK's don't have a spring loaded firing pin, magazines are harder to get and more expensive but AK-74 magazines work if you only load 20 rounds)
