    Just added another Mosin Nagant to the fold. This one is a 1942 "B" barreled M-39. Pristine bore and not a scratch on it. Hope to see how she shoots today.

    Very nice looking piece. The only thing better than a nice picture of of an outstanding M 39 outside is a nice pic of an outstanding M 39 outside in the snow, but given your location that doesn't seem too likely....

    In my country I don't get a M39, even I'd pay €550 for it! Because nobody sell it. But you can get a K31 for US$ 50 and a very nice one for $200.
    But I'm looking for one M39 for years, can't still find one :(
    at least got a M24....

    @Todd1700
    very nice rifle! How much cost this like new M39 in Alabama?

    nice rifle, looks like mine ;) except mines a 1968 stamped "sneak" barrel.

    I think I paid $320 out the door in California (taxes and DROS fee).

    What ammo are you going to use?

    I was finding that the newer noncorrsive Greek Olympic stuff is horrible...the Bulgarian surplus corrosive stuff seems to work very well in my rifle.

    You may be pleasantly surprized at the accuracy you get from your M-39. Mine is also a B-barrelled kivaari that looked like it had never been fired. After my gunsmith re-shimmed the action, I've been using it on pronghorn antelope, mule deer and Rocky Mountain elk. It is far and away the most accurate milsurp rifle I've ever known.

    I paid 340 which isn't cheap but it is a "B" barrel which is a little more rare than a VKT or SAKO. And it really is in unissued condition. Not a scratch or mark anywhere. I also loved the swirl pattern in this particular stock.
