heres the new member to the family! just picked her up tonite up at Jays in Gaylord, MI. only took 4 days to special order. Savage FP10 w/ Folding Choate

sadly and disappointingly it did not come with a mounting bracket for a bipod, ill have to hunt one down myself. any cool links for one or model number?

this is a crappy cell phone pic, ill hit it with the digi-cam when i slap all the trimmings on her. on another sad note, i live alone in an apartment complex and have a full time job, so all the mail i get that wont fit in the box goes to the main office which is closed before i get home. so both my scope and rings are held up in there until i can sneak away from work. :-(

but ill post more soon and hopefully get a range report out by sunday

NICE I want the same gun but with only a 20" barrel is that a 20 " barrel looks a bit longer than 20 to me.

Just drill a hole, and stick a sling swivel stud in it.

I'm a big fan of .308 for hunting big game. It has more than twice the reach of my 30-30 carbine. This big muley was so heavy we had to cut him into pieces to carry out of this rough country.

How dare you start a savage thread and not post pictures of the targets you've shot!!! :)

(Nice rifle. I've got a 10FLP in a crappy standard savage stock and it's one of my favorites . . . might have to shoot it today as a matter of fact. :) )

    Have a good one,
    Dave

    Very nice!

Is the folding Choate heavy? Others I have handled had very sharp stippling on the forearm, is this one similar?

I bet If you give it some custom fodder it'll shoot even better.
For some reason my .308 heavy bbl likes the 155gr Sierra Palma HPBT.

    Real nice looking rig!
