My post-ban rifle. It's a Early M16 Pre-A1 clone built on a PWA lower. It's an early Air Force Colt M16 upper with small pivot hole. It still needs some work, (ie, refinish the lower in Colt Gray among others), but it's functional, and it's my baby.

    My rifle:

Detail of receivers, note color mismatch. I'm ordering some Norrell's Moly-Resin for a DIY Lower refinish. Also note the Chrome, unnotched carrier. That was the hardest dang part to get.

EEEEEVIL features. Note how you can feel the pure evil emanating from the flash suppressor and especially the bayonet lug. These features give me More Thrusts Per Squeeze.

    I just wanted to share.

Sorry to nitpick, but the pre-A2 M-16 didn't have a magazine release fence.

A very nice rifle though, the M16 and M16A1s are my favorite AR-15s.

I know. I'm going to get the fence milled off, along with milling the front pivot-pin hole to A1 specs. It sucks that no one makes a real A1 lower nowadays.

My Airsoft was the A1 style, I liked the style just to look at but sold it since I didn't use it ever. But the money for that was more than enough for an SKS... :)
