    I have no experience with moisin nagant rifles. But I have much experience with mausers. I would be very surprised if the mauser were NOT significantly more powerful and more punishing to shoot than the nagant. Plus, the mauser is incredibly accurate.

    I've seen it, but it bears repeating. When I got my first Mosin, I found that and loved it.

    Loomis, I have both. The MN is more punishing.

    I wonder how Marshall is doing as well, haven't talked to him a in a while. He is a member of THR as well. (Marshall runs mouseguns.)

    Only thing that I'd change, for M-N, Service life is not 100 years. Service life is 117 years and counting.

    After shooting my 7lb Mauser 458 Win Mag it becomes apparent that combat weapons were intended to be shot repetitively.
