What type of holster do you use?

I use an American Pride Leather brand pancake. It set me back a whole 23 bucks new off of eBay....I have the gun on about 4 hours today and likely won't take it off for another 12.:)

Does the bigger grip affect concealment significantly? I've been looking into upgrading my grips.

That is a Badger boot grip. It was specifically designed for concealed carry. It is not as long as other grips. You only grip it with two fingers. Your pinky curls under the grip. Another feature than makes it better than rubber grips is the wood is very smooth and slick. Your shirttail will glide off of it and not hang up like it often does with rubber.

What is the purpose of the right-angled front loop?

CPE, What length of barrel on the SP? Looks like 2". I just got an SP 101 with the 3" {3.06"} barrel, wanting to get a CCW holster like that, nice looking.

Looks great, that's some nice leather craftmanship there!

Here is an IWB I whipped up for my SP101 a few months ago:

Really comfortable after the break-in period

I used to run the same rig as the OP.

I LOVE AKJ Concealco. Andy makes GREAT holsters at very competitive prices.
