No offense, but I think you should. That war wasn't lost because of anything the men on the ground (sea/air, whatever) did. You earned them. Your tears prove you did.

I agree..boots on the ground were not responsible for the loss, they followed orders and did all they could.

The problem is with the "oak meeting table warriors" that sent young men in harm's way in an unwinnable war (short of carpet nuking).

I would pass a constitutional amendment that would force politician's kids to be sent to the frontline in every war declared by congress....unfortunately wars are always fought by the little people...everywhere.

We are still economically paying (very dearly) the price of that war when we were forced to abandon the gold standard in 1971 thus enabling the current financial system casino that empowered the parasite class even more and submerged America in a pile**** of debt.

I hope and pray for the kids we are sending to Afghanistan....I'm afraid that is probably going to be another bottomless pit...that area of the world is sadly well known historically as the "Empire's graveyard"

Let's hope for a different outcome or to smarten up at some point, declare victory and leave.

...this thread has been for honoring our Vets who didn't get much honor bestowed when they came home...it's been a good thing...get off the Obama thing so that it doesn't get closed...it doesn't belong here...
...and thank you for YOUR service, Sir!!!

...the point, Sir, is keeping the thread open for the benefit of all...and political rants will get it closed...not allowed here...though definitely pertinent to the discussion...

in deference to our esteemed vets, we let this obviously off-topic thread run a little longer than normal

regards to all,
