My search for the perfect pocket 9 is over!

I played with a 365, but, I didn't think I could justify it because it's slightly larger, and heavier than my Kimber Solo, but, I ran across one at a price I couldn't refuse, and it shoots really well, but, has an 8-9# trigger pull, whereas my Solo is only 5#.
That said, I'm picking up another 365, this weekend, because, out of the hundreds of pistols I've owned and fired, with a little bit of rubberized Talon grip, it fits MY hand better than anything else I've tried.

That's weird. Mine is just over 6lbs. You might want to get it checked out. Most people rave about the P365 trigger.

I don't like the SAS, but don't tell anyone at Sigtalk. They don't like that sort of rebellion, lol.

First, it's ported. Unneeded and the negatives outweigh the positives.

Second, the sight comes from the factory ridiculously off target as evidenced by several video reviews and online testimonies. It's also more difficult to acquire under stress and takes a bit of practice to get acquainted with. Its also is hard to pick up in certain lighting conditions.

Third, removing the takedown lever and making the slide release incredibly small offer questionable advantages. Some say it helps them to not ride the slide release and accidentally activate it. Fair point.

Fourth, for most, the regular P365 is entirely adequate and is very snag-free as is. Some who pocket carry say the SAS offers an advantage.

Fifth, I don't like Sig's preposterous claim in their advertising of it that assumes the real world only consists of very close range encounters and accuracy at longer distances isn't needed. Increased active shooter incidents in public places are happening the "real world".

But whatever floats your boat. It doesn't make sense for me, so I bought the regular P365. Others may think it's the cat's meow for them. Cool. Buy it.

Guys, can’t tell ya how happy I am with this Sig P365. Took it out again today for another round at the range and 100 rounds later I’m still excited on how it shoots and handles. Not only does it shoot great, it fits perfectly in my back pocket with a pocket holster. I think my search for the perfect pocket 9 is over.

Can’t wait til I pick up a Hellcat so I can compare the two but for right now I’m perfectly content with the Sig.

Good deal! Glad you like it.

The one I had did shoot accurate and I really liked the trigger and x-ray sights on the short barrel (don't like them as much on my 226 Legion cause my eyes ain't great) but the thin grip didn't work that well for my hands and I found it too big for my pockets.

Still, very nice gun and capable for some excellent accuracy with a very nice trigger.

That is really odd. My .45 Shield has a 4.9-5.3 lb Trigger and my P365 feels lighter. Not as nice but lighter.

And while the 10 round capacity in such a small gun is revolutionary, it does add more weight and for carry weight is everything. A fully loaded 365 is like 4 ounces more than a fully loaded LC9S. In the unlikely event I fire a weapon in self defense, if 8 rounds don’t do it then I doubt 11 will.

So load the 365 with eight rounds (or less). "Problem" solved! ;)

I’ve looked at the 365 and might get one at some point but I carry a Ruger LC9S. The size of the Sig is virtually identical and the weight of the Ruger is slightly less. In the unlikely event I fire a weapon in self defense, if 8 rounds don’t do it then I doubt 11 will. And I have yet to feel a lighter trigger on a striker fired weapon then the LC9S. I do like the night sights on the Sig, though. But I can add them to my Ruger and still spend less then the Sig.

I'm gonna go with Homerboy on this one. I just bought an EC9S and love the size and fit. I like it best with the flat mag floor plate. It fits in my pocket a little better. I did a compare of the two on handgun hero and there is just almost no difference. Its pretty much as wash between the two. And 8 rounds and a couple of spare mags should do for any situation I get in.

I am glad to see someone else likes back pocket carry. For me its the most comfortable. Way back in the early 1990s mife had a cleaning contract to clean three offices in some bad parts of town. So I would carry my little Taurus model 85 in my back pocket with me. I did that for at least 6 months before my wife finally spotted it. The guy that owned the offices knew it and didn't care. heck he gave me two guns once. A Ruger single six and a S&W model 39-2 with the last 18 rounds of the only box of ammo that had ever been shot in it. I still have it too. Its my favorite 9mm pistol.

LoL! I'm doomed. I fondled them a couple of times already and they felt great, and now all this. Y'all give temptation a bad name.

I already have a Glock 43, Ruger LC9S pro, and Glock 26. The P365 seems to fit in the middle of that pack somewhere. And guns are expensive right now.

So later, when prices get more reasonable, I will wait until one of my favorite dealers has a nice used one for cheap. I will purchase it gleefully.

My eyes will be wide with wonder when I field strip it after I get home. I will hold it while I watch TV and marvel at its perfect balance and ergonomics.

I will enjoy shooting it. It will be my favorite new range toy.

But I will end up carrying one of my revolvers anyway, because I am a dinosaur. :)

Excellent observations.
Glock 19/23 for me. The 365 is just too much of a compromise. YMMV.

Love the P365 platform. I’ve got four of them now - one standard, one XL with a Romeo Zero, one standard with an optic cut and a Romeo Zero, and one with the non-ported SAS slide and a Lima 365 green laser (this last one is my EDC).

I recently bought an SAS version but haven’t gotten to the range yet. If it shoots well, it’ll probably replace my Smith 642 for pocket carry. As for the changes to the SAS over regular P365, I like them. My SAS is not ported, which I like, and the sleek slide release works for me because I use a thumbs forward grip and occasionally hold down slide release on conventional pistols. The sights are quirky but they appear bright in most lighting conditions.

Mine. I carry Pocket, IWB and OWB depending on Weather and dress
for the day. Main thing is if you see me, I'm carrying and the P365 makes
this a breeze.
