My second CZ pistol: CZ 75 SP-01

I have owned a CZ 75 P-01 for almost three years, and finally decided to buy another fine CZ pistol, this time their SP-01, the standard version with ambidextrous manual safety. It also came from the factory with tritium night sights. They appear to be made by Meprolight. Unlike the P-01, which has a forged aluminum frame, the SP-01 has a steel frame, so it has heft. Ergonomics are excellent! Anyway, I took snapshots of it late last night, using a new background:

Like you, I have a CZ PO1 and also was thinking of adding the SP-01 to my collection. My PO1 replaced my G26 as my main summer carry handgun, I shoot it much better...

I use a P0-1 as my winter carry gun, and a RAMI in 9mm as my summer carry gun.

I'm about to go shoot my CZ-SP01 right now actually. =) I think you'll enjoy it. I had a range report posted about mine awhile back, if anyone needs more info you might want to dig it up. Even with the problems I described (which are now resolved), I highly recommend this gun!

When CZ-USA brings the IDPA legal alloy frame SP-01 into the country I am going to buy one.

How long did you have to wait for yours? I've had one on order for about 1½ months now and still waiting (dealer ordered directly from CZ).

I ordered mine online from Bud's Gun Shop, and it was a version that included two 10-round magazines for the grand state of California. There really was no wait at all, besides a couple of days for them to ship it to my dealer, followed by two or three days transit time. Nice price too. My dealer's FFL was also already on file.

I was at the range today, and naturally brought the SP-01 along. This pistol shoots great! Ergonomics are superb, and it shoots dead-on. I am very pleased with this purchase.

I prefer Sigs to CZs but the SP-01 is on my list to pick up at some point. Great looking pics by the way.

is the sp01 fairly new/?? im going to the range tomorrow and i wonder if they have one to rent out i would love to try it out it looks awesome makes the glock 19 look horrible... i hope they do ill try them both out..
