MZBs with WMDs (comic relief)

Why are the cops wasting time arresting people who are committing no crime when there are actual violent criminals out there who really need to be arrested?

Since when is it illegal to dress up like a zombie?

And a law against simulated WMD being used on some guys with a backpack that had some wires hanging from it (probably connected to the stereo in the backpack)? Give me a break.

We really need to tell our politicians NO MORE idiotic laws.

I predict it is only a matter of time until someone is arrested for making a cell phone call. LE will call it a simulated bomb detonation drill or something.

Good thing no THR members saw them. Minds would race back immediately to the "Best caliber for zombies" thread. Being the good samaritans we are, most likely would have opened up to save the lives of untold thousands before the infestation spread.

I knew it! I knew it! THE ZOMBIES ARE COMING!!! RUN FOR THE HILLS!!!!

"Given the circumstance of them being uncooperative ... why would you have those (bags) if not to intimidate people?" said Inspector Janee Harteau. "It's not a case of (police) overreacting."

Yeah, lets assume they are guilty because the refuse to have their civil rights violated. If you did nothing wrong, you have nothing to fear....."citizen".

Strange, sure, but come on. How could this be illegal. This war on terror is being used for amazing excuses.

"They were arrested for behavior that was suspicious and disturbing," said Lt. Gregory Reinhardt, a police spokesman.

I bet that some folks would find my behavior "suspicious and disturbing" whenever I load up the truck to go to the range.

Lt. Reinhardt = JBT

If I were being harassed and arrested for no reason I'd be "uncooperative", too.

Are they weird? Sure. Are they criminals? Gimme a break. I am sure that the LEO's responsible will never be held accountable.

Leave people the hell alone!

If I were being harassed and arrested for no reason I'd be "uncooperative", too.

I don't recall in the constitution where it says you have to "cooperate" when you are being arrested. Or that "cooperation" in being arrested is mandated.

There is a fine line between being uncooperative and resisting arrest.

I think we all know where that line is too.

Resisting is like DC or disturbing. Most of the time it is really offending the cop more than anything else.

This reminds me of the guy in the UK who decided to protest the proliferation of CCTV surveilance cameras, when he noticed a new pole had one of it's cameras pointed right into the living room of his flat.

So he got "revenge" by making an alien costume reminicient of the "Predator" alien, dreadlocks, helmet and all. You know the one, the reptilian poacher on an interstellar safari that did battle on the big screen with the governors of California and Minnesota. He then went out into the street in the wee hours of the morning, and waited for the CCTV camera operators to spot him.

He put on a good act. He had no weapons, real or fake, just the costume, and he skulked about moving and acting in a decidely reptilian fashion.

The police monitored the situation and kept their distance for some time, perhaps on the 1% chance he was the "real deal". LOL.

This is the only cite of the incident I can find: http://feed.proteinos.com/item/520

I remember seeing it on one of those "Caught on CCTV" cable shows.
